The information you provide via the contact form is used to respond and maintain contact with yourself.

If you have contacted us regarding a sales query, then we will respond as concisely as possible and where appropriate make suggestions of products or services that are related to your query. Your information will not be kept afterwards for any marketing.

Order information

When you signup a new account on Doubleo Watches, we collect the bare minimum information to allow for your account to function. This information is listed below:

Order Information – Without knowing what you have bought we will not be able to dispatch the goods!

Cookies & Statistical Tracking

To help run the one of the best watch stores on the internet, we need to understand how customers use our website.

We use a platform known as Google Analytics to be able to anonymously collect information regarding the pages and products website visitors use.

As mentioned above, this is anonymously done. No personal information or identifiable information is obtained.

We interpret this data for use with marketing via email, to ensure our customers see more relevant products and to ensure our current marketing is driving customers to products they want to see.

To provide an small overview in data we are interested in:

Geographical locations – This allows us to determine if we should look into translating our website to cater for foreign markets and make our website easier to use.

Product Pages – We can see if a product is under performing or performing better than expected. This helps us to cope with stock fluctuations.

Visitor Entry and Exit Pages – We are able to see which page a visitor starts their journey across our site and which page they leave our site on. We hope they leave after the check out page but if they don’t, have we done something wrong? This data allows us to investigate!

Data sharing

We will never share / sell  / pass on the statistical information collected through our anonymous collection with any 3rd party. This is morally unjust and not needed.

Will my information be passed or sold to a 3rd Party?

Sometimes to get a product to you quicker, we will ask a manufacturer or supplier to dispatch the watch direct to the customer. This saves money on postage and we pass this discount on to the customer.

Your data may also be passed to a courier company to ensure your watch or product is correctly received.

This is the only occasion where information would be shared with a 3rd party.

Your personal information is never, and will never be sold to a 3rd party for financial gain.

Can I see / amend / alter / delete my personal information?

The information you provide through account creation or through placing an order on our website is available to alter and change on the My Account page.

If you need to see a complete list of all your personal information held by us, you can submit a request through our web form our contacting david@doubleowatches.co.uk . Under the new GDPR guidelines, this information will be provided in less than 30 days.

How long is my information kept?

Your information

We keep your personal information for as long as it takes to process your order. Processing is classified as from the moment the order is received to the moment the customer receives their product.

Because of various warranties and our commitment to provide a better service, the information may be held for longer until we are sure the customer is happy with their product and the product has not developed faults.

Is the transfer of my information safe?

Transfer of your information

If you look up the top left of the web address bar, you will see the connection is marked as Secure with HTTPS://. This means we have took steps to ensure your data is kept secure (encrypted) while being transferred to our website.

While we are taking the steps to ensure your information is kept secure while being transferred, you must ensure your computer or mobile device features the latest security as we cannot protect you from applications on your device that may be snooping or logging the information you are typing.

What about my bank details?

Stripe

When you place an order through us, your card information will never be held on our website or servers.

All card transactions are carried out using a third party known as Stripe.

Stripe is used be some of the largest companies in the world and they provide a very secure platform in which to send and receive payments.

To limit our exposure to fraud, Stripe carry out a risk assessment to ensure the card you are using has not been used for fraud or been reported missing.
